About Ergot Records
Ergot Records is a charming, small store located in the East Village, offering a wonderfully curated selection of diverse records. Customers can find a mix of avant-garde, noise, contemporary classical, jazz, and even some pop-oriented music. The store features a broad selection of genres at extremely reasonable prices, with bargains available in the bins outside. There is a turntable available so customers can give records a spin before buying. The friendly staff, including the owner, adds to the inviting atmosphere, creating a magical shopping experience. Both seasoned collectors and newcomers, like children eager to explore, leave satisfied and excited to return. The shop also offers stickers for their store, which is always a bonus for fans. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to visit, with a solid selection of mostly fairly priced used records and a well-curated collection of new records, including jazz, experimental, ambient, rock, indie, punk, and new wave.
Broad selection of genres at extremely reasonable prices. Got a right few bargains in the bins outside. Turntable available so you can give them a spin before you purchase. Adrian seems a sound fella as well. Recommended👍👍
Nice little shop with a solid selection of mostly fairly priced used records and a larger and well curated and organized selection of new records. They have a bit of everything (jazz, experimental, ambient, rock, indie, punk/new wave). Bought a few with cash and got a 3.5% discount. Will be back next time in NYC.
Fantastic place to always visit, stop by and you'll find something good. Some highlights for me: original mono Kind of Blue, Brian Wilson's Smile, and... Ahhh too many greats I've gotten there hehe
