If you are shopping for flooring, I think based on our experiences, the best place to buy is at Eastside Floor Supplies at 123rd & Park Avenue. On the advice of our contractor, we made an appointment and learned more about Prefinished, Engineered, unfinished, parquet as well as wide plank wood flooring. Eastside has a fabulous showroom with many of their samples built into their floor that also houses a pool table and baby grand piano. We had a complicated flooring job with mold due to a steam pipe leak. Floor, sub flooring and fireproofing had to be replaced and new floor had to be matched to adjoining room done years before. Extremely professional organization, from owner, to supervisor and workmen. Owner has extensive experience and all involved took pride in their work. Communication skills from owner, workers, and office staff was just what it should be, rare to find today. The job was impeccably done, on time and a fair price. Extremely happy with the results and would recommend highly.
