I had an appointment with Felicia for a silk press and cut. She did an excellent job! She listened to my wants, explained as she went and asked questions for clarity. I am so happy with my experience. I will definitely be back!

I just happened to come across this salon during a day in nyc. The team was courteous, thoughtful and positive! Courteous: on the phone and in person, I felt welcome. Thoughtful: zero pressure. They took care of my entire experience, not just my hair. Positive: Uplifting music, conversations were never disparaging or critical, even the approach to my hair was about health. I don’t live in nyc, but I will go just to return to this salon.

Do not go to Vanessa. I went in for a regular blow dry & trim (which cost $170) and she completely ruined my shape. She evidently only knows how to cut hair one way, and without any communication she cut layers into my hair that completely ruined my curly cut. I’ve never had that experience from a stylist before. It will take me years to get my hair back to the length and shape that I once had it.

It has taken me a while to write this because I wanted to give this salon the benefit of the doubt.
I had been going to this salon for about two years and finally got fed up and decided to follow an excellent stylist who left for the sake of consistency in my hair care. Each time I was there for an appointment within the last year, there was a new stylist because the prior stylist quit.
I also experienced unprofessionalism each time or something strange happened (no water available and staff/stylist unwilling to help me get water after I sat under the hot dryer, no toilet paper in the bathroom, silent stylist not explaining anything she’s doing to my hair, standoffish behavior, owner very obviously micromanaging veteran stylists, owner discussing upsell strategies loudly from the back room, gossip, etc.). I appreciate the luxury idea of this place but the client experience needs to be re-evaluated (including stylist attrition).
If you’re looking for a stylist to stick with consistently, you likely won’t find it here.
