This is a serious warning for everyone who is thinking about getting the service of Chelsea Plumbing Heating and Cooling. I question, if this is a legal company and I would be very careful. If you want to know why, read the story of our experience. The company was recommended to us by a neighbor, because we had a burst pipe on the roof terrace, that needed to be exchanged, a basic job. First of all the plumper did not come on the day we scheduled, neither he phoned. We had to phone him to reschedule. He turned up on the rescheduled day and spent an hour repairing the pipe. He charged us $95 Service fee, $100 Material costs and-here it comes- $755 for Labour. Of course he told us the price before he started to work on the pipe and we stupiditly agreed to it (because we desperately needed to get the job done). He even phoned the "office" to make sure he gave us the right price. Once I realized we were overcharged I went to the "office" to talk to someone in person, but there is no office under their address. So I phoned the "office" I have got the invoice from and wanted to renegotiate the labour costs. The "office" told me, they don't make the prices, I have to talk to the plumber, that came out. Never heard from the plumber again. For sure this is not a legal and fair procedure. I guess, the plumber and the "office" split the money in half. When we questioned the price in front of the plumber, he said, the "office" makes the prices. When I talked to the "office", the "office" said, the plumber makes the prices.

A terrible experience with this company. They were supposed to come in the late afternoon, the plumber called asking to come the next morning. Our tub was running, unable to turn off the water. Plumber was unable to find water turn off valve. He said the "fancy plumbing" breaks all the time, and the part would be impossible to get. He left. I found the part at Home Depot, called him many times to schedule him to come back to repair it. He didn't respond to numerous phone calls, nor did his office. The next day a professional plumber came and fixed the problem within an hour. He knew how to turn the water off within the fixture, he knew where to get the part within an hour, and took care of a fairly simple job. I'd be surprised if the plumber for Chelsea is actually a registered plumber. Chelsea also charged my credit card $95 for this non service.
