On my first visit, Candace healed years of harrowing salon trauma. She makes it looks so easy. I’m fresh off my second visit and will never go anywhere else if I can help it. She cuts and styles my extremely tight, kinky hair - 4c, for folks who hair type - better than anyone ever has, and I wish I knew how to style it the way she does. She also hired an assistant which initially gave me pause due to my aforementioned salon trauma - my hair does not like meeting new people! All I can say is wow! Candace really cares about your curls-simple as that. As I was in her salon, I saw her care about each and every one of her clients. She did not shove someone off or rush, she took her time and truly let her skills shine. I have a lot of hair but Candace never made me feel bad about it, if anything, I felt complimented and educated on how to take care of my curls better and also pointed out what I am doing right. I have been to several natural hair salons in and out of the city, and Candace is the real deal. She doesn’t only cater to a “certain type” of hair, which made me feel so welcomed! Looking forward to my next maintenance trim!

If I can give 10 stars I would. I promise you won’t regret going to Candace Witherspoon Salon. I had the honor of booking an appointment with Candace this weekend and not only is she very professional, friendly, and informative but she has the hands of an Angel. Definitely a master with curls. For many years I struggled with my natural hair care and finding a salon who can accommodate my hair type. I booked a custom curly cut + deep treatment. Within one visit I was able to understand my hair, informed of suggested products to use, received the best hair cut that gave me shape, volume, moisture and most importantly defined curls !! 10/10 experience!
