My wife was referred to Jay by her beautician and she’s always happy when he’s done. She says that it’s a cool atmosphere and all of the guys are respectful when she walks in.

Clean cuts. Respectful barber's. Good prices plus for a lil extra you can get the smoove razor finish fellas?? face. There's even a Salon in the back for the ladies. She'll have your ? looking luxurious ladies. It's A Man's man kind of ? shop. Filled with sports talk ? talk not to mention political views on current and past history events.

About five years ago, I asked a guy with a great haircut where he got it. Since then I have been going to 4 Star on a regular basis. It's on West 145 Street, just off of Broadway and on the way to City University. All of the barbers for men and hairstylists for women are great. I have a preference for the Jamaican guy with dredlocks because of the way he styles. While they cut all types of hair, it is that traditional African American meeting place where time just drifts by as you socialize. They will give you a great cut in no time, if that is all you want though. A regular cut is $20, not including the tip that your cutter will really earn .
