Josh is extremely knowledgeable, patient and courteous. After our first lesson we had some amazing results. Not every trainer knows how to handle a Dutchie/Malinois but Josh is right at home with this breed. We can't wait to see what the future holds in training with Josh.

Simply put, there is no better trainer out there. When I adopted my second dog, I didn't know much about his history, but at 4 months old he was a handful - he was stubborn as anything, and wildly aggressive (and he was on track to be a big dog). We were in an apartment at the time and it had gotten to the point that I had to request to work from home because he couldn't be left during the day (even with a dog walker coming twice a day). I met with Josh as soon as I could and he helped me work with him until he was old enough to formally start the puppy course. Josh has been absolutely fantastic training our Husky/Shepard mix, Sky. We had been working with her since she was a pup but as anyone who knows the Husky breed, she is very stubborn. I decided that we needed some help and I was amazed at the progress Sky and Josh made after even the very first training session! I was skeptical at first but seeing my pup able to freely run off the leash while remaining obedient was incredible and I’m glad we decide to roll with Backcountry K-9. Highly recommend!
