Shimon's Barber Shop
“I'm giving a 5 star because shimmon is a great guy but I'm very disappointed and very unhappy when walking in and being called over by some young teenager or by some other guy who doesn't look like his eyes can look straight for me to be doing my haircut by him. It makes people uncomfortable and some of those guys have absolutely no basic experience with haircuts whatsoever”
Mr. Continental Barbershop
“Walking into Mr. Continental Barbershop you already know you’re in good hands — literally. The place has that calm, no-nonsense vibe where you sit down and feel like, “Okay, these guys know what they’re doing, I can relax.”
The shop is clean and well-kept, no shtick, no balagan. Chairs set up properly, everything organized, and the whole atmosphere is chill without being sleepy. You’re not rushed, but you’re also not sitting there wondering if you accidentally signed up for a full-day program.
The barbers are sharp — and not just the scissors. You can give a basic explanation like “clean it up but don’t take off too much,” and they somehow translate that into exactly what you meant, not what you said. That alone is a big madreiga.
Also, big plus: they respect time. If there’s a wait, it moves. No mysterious disappearing acts, no “just five minutes” that turns into a whole sugya. In and out like a mentch, looking like a new person.
And the best part? You walk out feeling put-together, like you suddenly have your life more under control than you did when you walked in — even if nothing else changed.
Bottom line:
Professional, efficient, and consistently solid. If you want a clean, reliable haircut without the whole circus, this is the spot.”
