I went to this salon based on a few reviews and figured I would give the salon a try. The first time I went, I brought my daughter and the stylist did a good job with her hair, she has quite a bit of hair. As for my hair, I had a weave and I'm used to the old fashioned Dominican salons where you get roller sets under a hot dryer, however they have one sit under, I figured was ok since most people were getting wet blow outs. The stylist insisted I did the wet blow out since it's quicker and I agreed. The second time I made an appointment and the stylist cancelled since her child was sick. Of course I understood and rescheduled. On the day I rescheduled I was running a little behind because I had to drop my daughter off and texted her. When I walked into the salon there was no greeting and she said she didn't have time to roller set. I figured since the same courtesy was given to her it could be given to me, but that was not reciprocated. Given the attitude and the fact that she couldn't do a roller set, which actually would have saved her time, I immediately walked the heck out.
I'm not sure why I haven't left a review of this place earlier; but on the other hand, I may be hesitant to praise this place so much that it gets too big and I won't be able to get an appointment for months! Either way, Carol deserves it! She truly goes above and beyond for her clients and gets the gold medal for customer service!!! She has a great balance of offering services you might like without being pushy or seeming like she's trying to make a sale. I truly have no complaints about this place, and that's rare! I get my weave wash and set done here, and the price can't be beat. After my move from Queens to Long Island, I've found my new place :)
Carol is the real deal! She did my highlights and they came out amazing!!! I can't praise her enough, that girl knows how to style hair. I love how detailed and through she is, very patient and never fails to amaze. I recommend you go to this salon if you want to steal the show at your next party or event!
