It was Saturday July 18...my 3 year old cat "mittens" had be vomiting and be very not himself. I called all over closer to home in Pennsylvania, everyone was closing soon, and some emergency places did not even have a Vet in office...finally Wallenpaupack Vet Clinic referred us to Gardian!! I called with no issues said bring him up!! I packed my kitty and took the over an hour drive. From check in to exam to calling me when he was ready for pick up, and then explaing what was the results. Everyone that treated me and Mittens I would definitely highly recommend. We were treated like royalty. My mittens is back to his frisky self. Just a little virus...but I would definitely come back especially having 4 cats and two dogs. Thank you to everyone there, especially those cared for us.
would HIGHLY recommend Guardian Veterinary Emergency in Orange County (Middletown location). On June 7th my elderly cat fell down the stairs and lost his ability to walk. He didn’t seem to be in pain but we knew it must have been a stroke or something similar. It was after midnight, and I didn’t know what to do. I Googled reviews for animal hospitals in the area and almost decided to go somewhere else due to the negative reviews online. In the end I decided to take a chance on Guardian and I’m so glad I did. Guardian was the absolute BEST experience I’ve ever had. Everybody was caring, compassionate and considerate. The Vet was amazing and knowledgeable. All the staff made us feel like we were the only ones needing attention and made sure to let me know what was going on every step of the way. It was busy, but at no time did it impact their care or attention to us. Unfortunately, my cat’s prognosis was terrible and my decision to put my cat to sleep was met with understanding, empathy and genuine care. Vet took time to explain all options and possibilities and there were no attempts to upsell or make me feel guilty for not being able to invest thousands of dollars on treatment and care. I was supported in my choice and felt cared for. They understood I didn’t want to make the choice to put my cat to sleep and their understanding made it less traumatic. At no time was I rushed to make a decision. The Vet even took time to discuss everything again with my husband over a video call and showed patience when I had a panicked second thought right before injection. Every step was clearly explained. I know that even if I had not been there, they would have made sure my pet felt loved in his last moments. . I also have to say that the pricing was way less than I have experienced at other vet clinics or hospitals in the past. I can’t express enough gratitude for how this sad experience also made me thankful for the people that clearly love what they do. THANK YOU!!!
