As I was going to move to Japan with a long term visa I needed a new phone number so I ordered a Voice + Data eSIM. They needed to send me the activation code on the mail because of Japanese legislation.
The problem arrived at the Spanish customs, they interpreted that a regular postage (it was an envelop with a paper sheet inside) was a highly valued good and decided to make me pay 29,90€ in VAT + import tax concept. This is just ilegal as there were no goods but as a normal citizen, complaining would not result in something good for me.
