I've been a member for a bit over a year. I appreciate all the other members, to a person, have been welcoming and supportive. They are always willing to offer suggestions and help me learn. There are no egos, just great people. A special shout out for Nicholas Gerace who is the instructor/coach for the masters (40+) group. Nick's a great instructor overall, but especially for those of us with enthusiasm, but not as much flexibility as we used to have. It's a great place to be on Friday night and Sunday afternoon. This is a great community of people who demonstrate that Jiu Jitsu is a life skill.
This is an awesome academy with some of the most incredible people I’ve ever met. Extremely supportive.
The instruction at this academy is amazing and Eddie has a gift for explaining techniques and concepts. You feel welcome and supported and as a beginner that is huge.
EFJJA has quite literally changed my life. The jiu jitsu is one thing, but the community at this gym is another level. Everyone is friendly and more than willing to help you level up- in more ways than just grappling.

Thank you Kirby and Steve for making me feel so welcome. I called ahead because I was visiting and from the jump the school was incredibly welcoming. The instructors that I learned from were incredibly knowledgeable and were invested in the students understanding the techniques. I wish I lived closer because I would be here all day every day.
