I used Duke McLachlan from Jamestown Howard Hanna. Buyer beware! It is my fault for not doing more research on my house. It was listed for 80,000 when I looked at it Duke told me that someone was bidding on it and if I didn't go all in I was going to lose out. I ended up paying the full asking price. I found out from the listing agent that three people backed out after learning how expensive it would be to bring this house up to code. The highest of the three accepted offers was 62,000. The offer was accepted and then rescinded when they realized the extent of the repairs. Additionally the house was on the market for months. The listing agent even apologized to me. I now have a 80,000 house plus over 40,000 in repairs that is in a lousy area of Jamestown. Yes, buyer beware! Do your homework. This has been a very expensive mistake. John Cacciotti

Extremely disappointed and would never recommend the agent that was used for my husband's real estate transaction on the sale of his Childhood Home after the passing of his Mother, she was unprofessional and not very knowledgeable. The whole process from The Realtor to the Lawyer in NYS, was Disgusting..if you live out of state make sure you have a good knowledgeable realtor and Attorney.

Can real estate agents stop bringing down decent neighborhoods with their HUD housing? If I wanted to live in the slums I would have bought a house there. I'm so tired of almost every street in this city being taken over by slumlords and welfare that let houses get run down.
