Mikaela is praised for her talent and love, always delivering beautiful hair cuts and styles. On-site services for hair and makeup are also available, as seen with Mikaela's work at an event. While some clients have expressed concerns about pricing, such as a $357 price tag including tip for high and low lights on a French bob, overall, Le Shag provides a great experience with a helpful team and quick appointments. The salon itself is beautiful and always has wonderful new art. Illisa and many other stylists care deeply about providing the best experience.
I really enjoyed my head scrub and haircut. I hadn’t realized how long my hair had grown! Only downside is there’s no parking lot so street parking or walking far are the only options. No ideal for anyone with foot problems.
Carly and Taylor did makeup and hair for three of us in a wedding and they were amazing! So professional, but relaxed. Asked questions about what we wanted and delivered results exceeding expectations. My makeup (by Carly) was subtly dramatic, appropriate for my age, felt great on my skin, and held up all evening, even in the rain! I'm still obsessed with my hair! The most awesome updo by Taylor that I'll forever be dreaming of replicating. She hit it out of the park. Whole experience 10/10. Highly recommend.
After going to at least half a dozen stylists over the years, I had honestly given up on finding someone who could get my haircut exactly right. The stylists were all talented, but somehow it never quite matched what I was hoping for.
Then I found Marissa at Le Shag Salon in Kingston — and she completely got it. She listened, understood exactly what I wanted, and gave me the best haircut I’ve had in years. I left feeling so happy and finally felt like myself again. She gave me a layered style that's current, youthful, and sophisticated.
Marissa has definitely gained a loyal client, and I’ll absolutely be back. Highly recommend!
