Sprague & Jackson

An organization for which I used to do contract work used this accountant. 1099 forms were always very late, past the legal deadlines. During two years, they said they sent form via snail mail and I never received them; I had to ask a director at my organization to get a virtual copy. I no longer work at the organization, but I just received “notice of data security incident” in which my personal information, possibly my name, address, and SSN were present in a data breach. I would not choose to work with this company.

I've used Sprague & Jackson for years for my US taxes, bringing all sorts of crazy head-scratching problems to them (is a post-doc fellowship from the Japanese government taxable or not?), none of which have ever fazed them.
