Bruno's Barber Shop in Islip Terrace has permanently closed after years of service. Known for its old-school charm, the shop was a favorite for many, offering haircuts with both scissors and clippers. Customers appreciated the friendly atmosphere, sharing stories and local news. With nearly 50 years in the community, it was a beloved spot for reasonable prices and skilled cuts, with one loyal customer visiting for almost 20 years.
85 years old and still going STRONG! an old school barber shop….scissors and machine cut. A place to share stories, get the news of the day and some tomato growing tips. 48 years in Islip and a place you MUST stop buy for a cut. (And super reasonable prices too!!)
I have been a customer for 30 years and Bruno seems ageless and still gives great haircuts at reasonable prices. No fancy hair style crap just down to earth haircuts. If you are too lazy to shave Bruno will give you a close straight razor shave while you relax. Give him a try and call him to get his days of operation. He is old school perfection.Magazines are left on table and none of which are not for anyone to see. Mens magazines are on a private shelve away from children. Just plan on Bruno not rushing on anyones haircut. He devotes equal time to everyone.
