“This past week, I passed my driving exam on the first try, six years after a car accident had completely taken driving off the table for me. Going from having panic attacks in the passenger seat to finally feeling safe and confident behind the wheel has been a huge journey, and my instructor Micheal Robledo played such an important part in helping me get here.

Michael is an outstanding driving instructor who genuinely goes above and beyond to make sure his students are prepared to pass. As of my exam date, he was on a 15-student passing streak, which says a lot on its own! But beyond the results, what really makes Mike such a great instructor is his enthusiasm, patience, kindness, and energy. He can definitely be strict when he needs to be, but it’s because he wants his students to drive safely, confidently, and hopefully pass on their first try. He’s also a lot of fun to learn with, but there’s no question that he’s an expert at what he does. With his many years as a driving instructor and his previous experience as a road test grader, he knows exactly what students need to work on and how to prepare them for the exam.

“When I was choosing a driving school to prepare for my driving test, I had to choose very wisely. I had a little over a week—a completely unrealistic and unreasonable time frame, which I don’t recommend—to get my license before going back to college out of state, and I can say with certainty that I made the right choice.

I needed a ton of work, and my instructor, Juan Carlos, was completely straightforward with me about how challenging the road ahead would be. Despite the time crunch, he opted to make time for me and provided me with a ton of materials.

Throughout our week of practicing, Juan Carlos utilized a firm tone in order to instill the rules and regulations of the road into my head, and the strategy could not have worked better. In addition, Juan Carlos was very helpful through text messages whenever I had questions about anything, which was such a tremendous help.

Earlier today, I passed my road test on my first-ever attempt, and I can say with certainty that had I not chosen Juan Carlos and San Juan Driving School, I would not be a licensed driver.
