Established in 1883, Polchinski Memorials is a premier monument maker and mausoleum builder located in Hawthorne, NY. As a Rock of Ages authorized dealer, their commitment to quality and service has earned them the trust of families across the greater New York area for generations. Polchinski was very attentive and sensitive to needs. They made a beautiful stone, with staff who were so helpful and really walked families through options. Polchinski was there when needed, helping through the process with sensitivity and caring during a very trying time. The engraving was done in a timely fashion, and families are more than pleased. There was no pressure, and every question was answered. The engraver waited for nice weather, and the final result was absolutely amazing and beautiful, with everything perfect. Polchinski’s price was very reasonable. Excellent service, quality of work, and reasonable prices. Very helpful, flexible, and easy to work with on the difficult, sensitive issues related to the passing of a loved one.
My great great grandfather started this company in 1883, and it was sold out of our family in the 1980’s. We always knew we could rely on the new owner for any stones we needed cleaned or created. Since we sold it, we’ve had about 6 new stones created for the family plot in New Rochelle. The most recent two were specific designs that the monument company helped me create for my father and grandmother. They were so patient with my requests and quick with revisions. I am so thrilled with the final product and so proud that they’ve kept the legacy that my ancestors worked so hard to build alive and strong. After my mother died unexpectedly shortly after my father in 2025, I was going though her home and found the paperwork from when she had worked with Polchinski on my aunt's monument in 1995. I worked with Linda at Polchinkski, and they were able to recreate the same stone, font, and shape, but on a larger monument to accommodate both of my parents. The result was beautiful. Polchinski were very friendly, sensitive, and responsive to work with. I would recommend them to anyone.
Polchinski made a beautiful stone for my mother’s unexpected passing. Lynne was so helpful and really walked us through our options. The final stone was everything my mother would have wanted.
