I think the best money I ever spent on my last home in Millcreek was the purchase of leaf guard gutters. While blessed to have 100 year old trees all around it was a dirty, difficult, and frankly dangerous job keeping the gutters free of leaves. However neglecting the constant maintenance meant ice damage and constantly overflowing gutters. After the installation of Leaf Guard gutters. My homes gutters stayed free of leaved and I remained safely on the ground...as I no longer had the rick of a fall from a high unstable latter. Again, best investment I ever made in my home.
