About Beaver Island Golf Course (BIGC)
Beaver Island Golf Course is described as a beautiful and well-maintained public course that offers a challenging experience at an inexpensive rate. However, some reviews highlight issues such as poorly maintained greens, which have been affected by geese, making them almost unputtable. Course management also faced criticism for allowing groups to walk on the back nine while others were finishing up, leading to longer play times. While the golf course has its drawbacks, the surrounding beach and park are appreciated for family enjoyment. Overall, the course has potential but needs improvements in maintenance and management to enhance the golfing experience.
Great value for the money. The course is not in the best of shape but the dry hot summer has a lot to do with it. My first time here and I was surprised at the length. As a 74 year old, there were vert few holes that I could reach in regulation. Thr forward tees play to 6100 yards. Greens were good but if you don't land on the green you probably won't get there due to the false fronts on almost every green. For the money I would play it again. Warning: If you like golfing early don't expect a bite or drink after 9 as the snack bar doesn't open til 10.
Ive played here a bunch and never had issues. Yesterday was about the worst conditions I've ever seen on the fairways and traps. I'm sure this rating will go up after my next round. I don't see how it couldn't
Allow a 4some to walk on back 9 while a 4 some is coming off of hole 9. Worst performance of course management I've ever seen. Way to make a 18 hole day longer. I am never recommending or playing this course again.
