Went there to get a regular manicure 2 weeks ago in a Sunday. It was a long wait because they only had 3 employees. I didn’t mind it much because I thought walk-ins have no option but to wait.
The lady made my pinky finger nail/cuticle bleed during the manicure. I asked them if they could use a hydrating lotion for the post manicure massage to help my dry cuticles. She talked me into getting a “hand mask”. It was a sheet mask. They cut the finger tips of the mask so that they could apply the nail paint. (Weird but whatever.) later I was told to dry my nails under the UV light thing with the hand masks on. My hands had these dried out white marks and deposits due to the material in the mask. Nail polish on a few nails got damaged because of the that hand mask. She tried to remove and reapply the paint. And I had to sit there for more time to dry it. By the end i wanted to just go home and wash off my hand to get rid of the white deposits.
I made the payment with my credit card. And sent them $$ for the tip on Venmo because I didn’t have cash (didn’t deserve any tips). I was trying to put my wallet back in my hand bag carefully because some of my nails were STILL not dry. I must’ve accidentally dropped the wallet there.
I only realized yesterday(2 weeks later) that my wallet was missing. I do all my shopping online mostly. I even order Instacart groceries online at times and get it delivered at home. I didn’t drive anywhere because I was sick. Yesterday (Sunday) I decided to go out to buy groceries and that’s when I realized I don’t have my wallet anywhere. I searched the entire house, my car , handbags etc. no luck. It took me a minute to realize that this salon was the last place I used my wallet. I called them but no one answered. Drove there but they were closed for Easter. So I called them up today to ask about my wallet. They very casually said yes it’s here. I went there to pick it up and the lady was rude and almost scolded me in front of all customers. I mean they could’ve contacted me on Venmo (commented on the transaction) because I transferred the tip$$ on Venmo. I never got anything.
I was very grateful that they kept my wallet safe with them and I even thanked them multiple times. But I did not appreciate the rude behavior in front of all their customers. You have no right to scold someone. In this day and age of technology, how can it be so hard to believe that I didn’t need my wallet for two weeks? I do everything online with my PayPal and my iPhone Apple wallet. I don’t need my wallet so often. It’s not that crazy to believe.“
