About Retro Fitness
Retro Fitness is a well-equipped gym that caters to its members' needs. The facility boasts state-of-the-art fitness equipment, group fitness classes, a Smoothie Bar, and a Pro Shop, providing a comprehensive fitness experience. While the gym is spacious and offers a great variety of equipment, some members have expressed frustration with the disorganized dumbbell situation, which can be inconvenient for those who prefer dumbbell workouts. However, the staff, particularly Ari, who opens the gym at 4 a.m., is praised for their excellent customer service and ability to create a positive atmosphere, even during the early morning hours. Overall, Retro Fitness is a popular choice among gym-goers, offering a wide range of amenities and a dedicated team committed to supporting its members.
i like how vast it is, with designated areas for certain machines/open space to utilize handheld weights and other equipment. i especially love the back room where classes are held, as when they’re not holding classes it’s a great place to do some yoga before jumping into a workout or just stretch with extra privacy. i also think the theatre room is a versatile addition that i like. it’s also helpful having everything there from protein shakes to energy drinks/waters/water fountain to even meal preps and combination locks for the locker room. overall, this is one of the best gym experiences ive had as a bigger woman, usually i feel judged and not openly welcomed...read full review
I’m only giving two stars because the gym is clean. But this is a “dive” gym, the same way there’s a “dive” bar. Very grungy, about 75% of the equipment is broken/missing parts, a lot of the equipment is old. If you’re built then this is basically the atmosphere here. It’s where muscle heads thrive lol, and I’m so serious. The gym is BIG and has a lot to offer for everyone, just VERY PACKED. You can build gym buddies quickly if you're friendly.
It's fine. However, they let people record themselves and there's free range for those with tripod cameras to set them up wherever they want. You all need to check the policy of this- not everyone wants to be recorded while working out. Additionally, the already packed gym is not a place for wasting space with tripod cameras. Just a fyi, people are still recording in the bathrooms despite the sign not to.
