“We hired Carson Groundworks to fix a badly waterlogged side lawn, and we couldn't be happier with the results. John met with us for a site visit in late April, listened to our needs, and provided a clear, written estimate. By late June, his crew spent two solid days digging a 60-foot trench for a French drain and tying in our gutter downspouts. They were working with tough rocky clay and heavy subsurface water pressure from the hill behind our house, but they handled it like true professionals.

What really stood out was how they looked out for us during the project. They were incredibly proactive, noticing a few extra things that needed attention and just taking care of them to ensure the best possible result. For example, they extended the French drain an extra 10 feet to cover more of the backyard, added perforated pipe to the tail ditch because they noticed the area was especially wet, and even cleaned up, seeded, and strawed an electrical trench that had been left rough by another contractor. We preferred the drain to be hidden under the grass, so they accommodated us by flawlessly finishing the top with fabric, topsoil, seed, and straw instead of exposed stone.

The system works perfectly. Even during a hot, dry stretch, we could see the pipe steadily draining about a gallon of water every five minutes just from the subsurface pressure.
