We recently completed a gut renovation in the Central Section of Garden City and couldn’t have been more pleased with Howie and the entire team at Tarr.
The renovation covered approximately 6,200 square feet of living space, plus a 2.5-car garage and a 500 square foot outdoor kitchen. It was an ambitious project involving extensive custom millwork, flooring, stairs, masonry and AV integration.

We completed a major renovation over the summer and couldn’t be happier. Tarr delivered excellent quality throughout. With only inspiration photos and rough sketches, they brought our built-ins to life in the office, TV area, and mudroom—and offered smart recommendations that improved the end result (especially trim and finishing details). They stayed on schedule and finished on time. We also really appreciated their vendor partnerships for things like kitchen counters, plumbing, and appliances—everyone was local, and easy to work with. Erik, our project manager, was outstanding: clear communicator, responsive, and proactive whenever anything came up. Highly recommend.
