Attempting to reach the Fort Drum Veterinary Clinic by phone often proves unsuccessful, a problem frequently mentioned in reviews. For those moving to the base with a pet, it's possible to visit the clinic without an appointment to obtain the necessary housing paperwork, and it's not required to bring your pet, only the relevant documents. The staff's demeanor tends to be quite neutral, giving an impression of disinterest or lack of enthusiasm, but they are efficient in handling paperwork. As for their treatment of animals, I don't have personal experience with that aspect yet, as I haven't brought my pet there so far.

I take my puppy Atlas here. We tried a vet in Syracyse, and they refused services for being a minute late from the 10-minute grace period. Fort Drum Vet was able to get our puppy in the next week and provided great services. Our Vet was super helpful with discussing his vaccines and what he will need. Everyone was so kind and helpful. We have already seen them twice and have another appointment with them soon:-) our puppy LOVES the staff as well?

We took our puppy here to get shots and they were very friendly and professional. We would recommend this crew to anyone. A huge downfall is that it’s hard to get them on the phone because they never answer other than this they are great. It’s easier to go in and get everything scheduled and taken care of. Everytime I walk in they are on the phone which is a little baffling, but maybe they are that busy.
