During the course of sweeping the chimney, photos were taken and the terra cotta flue liner was cracked in several places indicating we'd likely had a chimney fire at some point. Continued use may have led to a house fire. Matters of the Hearth and Soot Seekers repaired everything in a timely fashion. Awesome gentlemen to work with; highly respectful of our property. We highly recommend these fellows.

We remolded the entire house winter of 2014. Matters of the hearth refitted 2 of the fireplaces in our house. The fireplaces are by far my favorite part of the remodel. We never used the old fireplaces. The new fireplaces we use every day in fall, winter and spring. Best money I ever spent.
