This used to be the only salon that I would go to, but now I think it’s time to find a new one. My visit started off with the owner running late being about 30 minutes behind. I was fine with that, stuff happens. She asked what I wanted to do and I told her I wanted just a healthy trim. We agreed that would take about 2 inches off for it to look nice and I was okay with that. However I did NOT give her permission to cut about 5-6 inches of my hair off, she decided to do that all on her own. I feel violated by what she did. I did NOT want majority of my length cut off. The nicest people work here. Today I had a pedicure with a very talented kind woman. I only remember Julie’s name who has done a wonderful job on my hair in the past. It was so refreshing to see people treated with such compassion.

Thank you Elaine!! After a horrible, traumatic, botched color job, Special Effects saved the day... and not only that but did it in record time as this was last minute! This salon has been a staple in the community as long as I've been alive. The women are kind, honest, and EXPERIENCED. As always the place was clean and well kept. Was a pleasure coming in.
