Nice salespeople and helpful with selection. Was able to order new glasses with the oval type of bifocal (cut the glass on the inside so they bifocals are not noticeable) and clip-on sunglasses. Now, when I have my sunglasses on, I can read something and (when fishing) tie a knot. The store was accommodating with delivery issues (the color I wanted will become available in two months) by offering a loaner pair of the same size and model, and swop out the lenses when the ones I want come in. Ordered the glasses today and will update this post when they come in.

I just moved to Delmar and needed a local optician to get my contacts prescription and refill. I was very impressed with the whole team. Very quick and easy to get an appointment, quick and easy “onboarding”, less than two minutes wait when I arrived for the appointment, and the doc was very friendly, kept me fully informed the whole time I was there. My new prescription is probably the best I’ve ever had, and … there was no attempt at “Upselling.’ We’ve all gone through it - you get there (not just in health care) and they try to sell you everything under the sun. I wanted a frame style that was put on back order by the manufacturer for weeks. The Hughes team went to extraordinary lengths to get what I wanted from a company representative who was on the west coast. After much effort my frames arrived. I’m very impressed by their friendly service and their work ethic. It’s worth the trip to Delmar to shop at Hughes Opticians.
