“Backstory: I used to go to another barber shop near me. After 2 barbers left, I tried another new barber because of the atmosphere. Unfortunately I just don't care for the way he did my fades, I always walked away with hard lines and didn't like the look.

Introduction: In my search for another shop I tried this one. Not knowing exactly what to expect. I googled it and went to the page. I booked an appointment with the owner Ronaldo. It's a Dominican shop, everyone speaks Spanish primarily. But I imagine they speak English too (Ronaldo did) and it seemed most of the clientele (while I was there 6pm on a Friday) were Dominican as well. They are located on Route 52 across the street from the ReStore, on the corner where the onramp to interstate 84 is.

Atmosphere: There's Bachata playing, red painted walls, it's loud enough that you won't fall asleep in the chair. There 6 chairs and they are all busy.

The Cut: Ronaldo took me in 15 minutes earlier than my scheduled time and asked me what I wanted. I showed him a picture and we were off. You could tell he's been doing this a while as he made his line and started giving me the skin fade. He stopped once to ask how I like the top and he scissor trimmed it, And did a hot towel and razors edge. Took about half an hour (standard for my type of cut) and also trimmed my eyebrows.

Verdict: slightly shorter than I normally get but all in all it's a good cut. Blend is smooth and the fade transitions well. Atmosphere isn't exactly what I like. But that's a cultural difference, and I can get used to it.

I had no issue with my current barbershop, but this is a great atmosphere .Jay and George are In my age range so there’s immediate comfortability, but of course the main thing is the main thing. I don’t even feel I had to explain what I needed as far as my cut as there’s just a trust going in that you know they are skilled and know what they are doing where I put my trust in George to make this old guy look good.“
