My USN son, Donald Thorington was laid to rest by this funeral home last May, 2019. Donald was murdered while active duty 5/5/19. I am his mother. I am also a retired USAF Veteran. Now I'm a Gold Star Mom and Mother of a Fallen Sailor. Michael Langan, Owner of this funeral home traumatized me by not allowing me in to view my deceased son at the scheduled viewing time. He locked me out of the home because Donald's father, Kurt requested it. I am not from Cobleskill. The only reason Don was buried there is because he listed his father as primary parent and me secondary with the USN. What that means is his father got to say where he was to be buried. Michael decided to treat me terribly while I was already devastated that my 23 year old son was murdered. I will never forget the day he told me that strangers could view my son first and locked me out of the funeral home. I sat and prayed until his wife opened the door and acted all fake saying, "Good Morning!" I will tell everyone what this man and woman who own the home did to me. I will never forget. Michael was only worried about getting his money for the funeral. Kurt was the one who was paying. So Michael, you will always remember me because I will continue to tell all how you treated a Retired United States Air Force Veteran and Mother of a Fallen Sailor. Do not use this funeral home. They are not worthy of burying anyone's family.
