About CAPTAIN's Treasures Shop
CAPTAIN's Treasures Shop is a popular second-hand store that offers a wide range of gently-used clothing and household goods at affordable prices. The shop is run by over 60 dedicated volunteers and is open every day of the week with varying hours. It is a well-run charitable shop with donations and sales proceeds that go directly to good causes that help others. The store is small, neat, and tidy with a merchandise mix of 50/50 clothing and household items in excellent condition. The prices are very good, and CAPTAIN's runs scheduled sales on almost everything sold in the store. The store's donations come from the local community, and there is often a large selection of items available. However, some recent reviews mention that the quality of donations has decreased a bit, with more "junk" appearing on the shelves. Despite this, shoppers can still find nice treasures, especially jewelry and clothing like suits, which are often priced very well. One reviewer highlighted that the prices here are AMAZING and that the staff are super kind and helpful, making the shopping experience enjoyable. Shoppers can expect to find various items lined up in a row, and the staff are very helpful. It is recommended to check the website for scheduled sales, such as household items being 50% off. Payment is usually cash preferred, but credit cards are accepted. While the store can be a little unorganized at times, the overall community feel and good deals make it a beloved place to visit. The fitting room curtains could use some work, but overall, the store provides a positive shopping experience with many treasures to discover.
The store was beautiful with so many wonderful choices of vintage items. The employees and volunteers were so kind and willing to help whether it was providing packaging supplies for my purchase or creating a good vibe through jokes and high energy.
Also, the prices were very fair considering that the sets were vintage.
This is a good sized shop with a variety of contents. It is well organized and the staff is very friendly. There is a very large selection of retro dish sets and a good amount of vintage kitchen appliances. I got a vintage Mr. Coffee maker for $6.
They have a few racks of crafting odds and ends, books, and jewelry. I didn't get into the clothes but they looked well organized.
Oh My! What a lovely Bazaar-like local. So much on offer and the prices, amazing. I lived how the clothing was arranged in separate rounders by size making finding some so much easier. I purchased clothes, a couple of cute children's books, vintage jewelry, fake plants, and a big chunk of pyrite. One of the employees helped me carry my selections to my car since I didn't have enough arms to do myself. The employees were super nice and helpful. There were very interesting pieces of original art decorating the store, but not for sale.
