I just went through the most stressful three days in my life. My little fur baby (Gizmo) had to have surgery. he had a blockage in his intestines, and I originally went to another emergency vet in Farmingdale, which I was not happy with them at all!!! . I was very upset and trying to make a decision and they had no compassion at all so I took him out of that location and went to VEG in Carle Place . From the moment I walked through the door and sat down. I knew I made the right decision. This is a 24 hour care facility, and the staff is just amazing.!!!! Had the unfortunate pleasure of coming here at 3am with the cat. We've gone to that other place on the expressway in Plainview a few times and I really wish I came here instead. They seem to genuinely care for your pet. It wasn't all about signing documents and getting your money. They explained what was going on, worked with us to get us the best price. Let's be honest, no one wants to come here if they don't have to. But knowing if I ever had an emergency again, I feel safe knowing my pets would be in good hands. I believe we had Marti and a max? Sorry if I am wrong on the names but they helped make the best out of an unfortunate situation.
This is my second time going to VEG and I am completely satisfied! The wait time was literally under five minutes. The staff is caring and thoughtful and provides just the right care for your pet needs. I had to keep my dog overnight but I knew he was in good hands. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses for all that you do for our animals!
