I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I went to Kisha on Saturday, 9/24 for a Silk Press Ponytail after originally booking a Silk Press. She told me if I bring synthetic hair, its good to go. I wanted the butterfly ponytail that she has on her site. Assuming that she has "growing hands", I went to her because I THOUGHT she specialized in Hair Care. My appointment was 3:30, I arrived early at 3:15. I waited to 4PM to be seen, in to which she washed me and notified me my hair was dry and I should get a deep conditioner. Conditioner didn't feel like it was conditioning anything, she left me for 45 - 50 mins uncovered after telling me she will be back in ten minutes. No dryer, no nothing. She comes back almost an hour later washes me out and makes me wait again while she installs one of her friends wigs. Mind you, I had an event at 7PM today and because of her consistent talking, a hour appointment took about 4 hours with barely any attention given to me as a customer! Fast Forward, she blows out and "silk presses" my hair. I open up to her that I have a "Iron Deficiency" and "Vitamin D Deficiency" that has gone undetected for a while and I think thats why my hair is thinning. I am a natural who has struggled to find a person who genuinely cares to give good hair care in NYC. Her attitude when I told her this was disgusting, "Well I didn't do your hair now honey" "Well go to the doctor" It was giving very much trash service. Waited 4 hours and inconvenienced just for the ponytail to fall out a day later and actual glue to be in my hair after I voiced my concerns about finding a natural hair stylist who truly cares about hair!!! I texted her Sunday, she didn't answer. I respected that she doesn't work on Sunday or Monday, but I retexted her on Monday once I took the ponytail out and realized there was glue in MY hair. She "apologizes" and we agree 5:30 is a good time when I get off of work to discuss a "resolution". Immediately, when we get on the phone, her attitude is disgusting. She answers with "hello so yeah this is what I can do for you. I can take off $40 for your ponytail." OUT of $180.00 and a style that was a complete waste, I'm still sitting here with my hair NOT done. Moreso, a wash and blow and silk press cost $140.00. I told her there is glue in my hair, she says " well there shouldn't be that much because I only put glue on the ponytail" well clearly not because its all in my hair!!!!!! This is only 1 part of why my appointment was unprofessional. Lmao funniest thing is her first offer was a CREDIT to my next service, told her send that to my cash app! Like is you crazy! Traveled from Queens to BK to be more than disappointed. This is the disease thats disparaging the black community. Hair stylists and beauticians have no respect for their "sisters" and they trying to scam us for work that don't match the price!! Shorty got an attitude with me on the phone asking me "Well what were you looking for exactly" and " I was actually being courteous to you" because she fake mentioned on Saturday that her previous client was late and it "throws everyone" off. COURTESY would've been to be straight forward about how long you going to take. Make it make sense!!!! Condescending, non-direct, and WEIRD. Girl it has nothing to do with me how you handle your clients but when a client books a TIME theres no reason why for half of that time, there is no PROPER attention given to your other clients. Never returning. Scammer asf. God gon deal with you. 1/10 not recommended. Thank god I didn't cuss this sister the way I wanted to, amen lmao GHETTO and the previous negative reviews don’t lie … one day????
