Best date night idea
Started ballroom dancing June 2025. Gave lessons as gift to my wife for Mother's Day.
Initially it was very awkward as I have two left feet or more to the point, bricks for feet. Our instructor, and I believe all instructors are amazing. We've become beginner proficient at waltz, meringue, salsa, lindy, and foxtrot.
We love the lessons. Additionally we're making new friends as there is a dance party for all students and instructors at the end of every month. We dance together and with others for almost an hour and a half.

I’ve been taking ballroom dance lessons at the Fred Astaire Bardonia studio and absolutely love it! The instructors are amazing — they really know their stuff and are super friendly, patient, encouraging, great at explaining the steps and how I can personally improve. I’ve learned many styles like waltz, tango, rumba, salsa, swing, and hustle, and each one has been so much fun.
Every class feels relaxed and upbeat, and I always leave smiling (a little sweaty 😄) and feeling confident.
