Sal and Antoinette are amazing. I used to go here as a kid but then moved out of long island. When I moved back I was going somewhere else that I wasn't happy with and I decided why not try them again and I was not disappointed. They provide great haircuts and service at a very reasonable price.

I have been going to New Ideas for over 25 years. Needless to say, I really missed the salon and Antoinette and Sal during Covid. I was so thrilled when the Covid ban was finally lifted and I could go back to Antoinette for my color, cut and blow dry. The salon was always immaculate and clean, but in light of Covid 19, Antoinette and Sal have worked tirelessly to make the salon safe for all who enter.
This is the BEST hair salon in the world! Had color today, felt super safe, they take your temperature when you get there, everything is fully sanitized, there are curtains up to separate people, it was truly a great experience and felt so safe!
