DO NOT HIRE! We paid over 12k for fencing and he and his helper arrived with the wrong type of fencing. After going round and round, he came back a few days later with the correct fencing. Mike's communication skills are unprofessional and rude. When he installed the correct style of fencing, the pressure treated posts (that I paid for) were not installed and replaced with Douglas Fir. He did discount our price but not very much. Several posts are cracked almost fully. I called and his response was, "I'm not taking the posts out. I told you to paint them right away. Incompetent and unreliable! I hired this contractor to build a wire fence around a 45 acre pasture, a $20,000 job. A few weeks after some neighbors called me to advise me that a corner of the fence had collapsed. It turned out that the three corner posts were sunk in small balls of concrete poured in a shallow holes dug in SAND to a dept of about a foot and a half. And they were supposed to resist the tension of a quarter of a mile of fencing each way! Of course all three posts were pulled out of the sand in no time, concrete and all! I should have been more patient and shopped but owner responsive, knowledgeable and kind. I emailed 3 other companies no response. Gorgeous, quality beautiful fence but at the end of the day I am questioning what I paid because my neighbor paid him - same size yard - $4000 less and he had two gates vs my one. Sure different market but THAT different? He also told me he would do a full picket on my side and neighbor fence on neighbor side, and we agreed that would result in more material costs that I was willing to pay.
