About South Hills Gastroenterology
South Hills Gastroenterology is a medical practice that has received mixed reviews from its patients. While some patients have had positive experiences with the staff and the physicians, others have reported issues with disorganization and difficulty accessing test results. The practice is praised for its caring and knowledgeable doctors, such as Dr. Ricker and Dr. Ferrero, who take the time to listen to their patients' concerns and provide clear explanations. Patients have appreciated the personable and easy-going approach of the staff, who have helped them better understand their gastroenterological health. However, some patients have reported problems with the office organization, such as being directed to the wrong rooms and having to wait for the doctor to become available. Additionally, there have been issues with scheduling follow-up appointments and accessing test results. Overall, South Hills Gastroenterology seems to provide a mixed experience, with both positive and negative reviews from its patients. The practice appears to be making efforts to address the concerns raised by some patients and improve the overall quality of care.
All I can say is that the desk staff represented like champions!!! And Dr. Ricker listened to my whole story, and then he didn't hesitate to give me a layman's view of what my body was doing. My visit was truly an education and my personality appreciated it! I want to get smarter on my health, and Dr. Ricker was a solid springboard for my gastro understanding. He and the staff were super easy going and personable! I look forward to him being my '"Go to, Gastro Guy!"
Saw Dr. Ferrero and was thrilled with the staff and whole visit! He is an amazing, kind, caring, and easy to work with physician who treats you with respect for your concerns and opinions. Wonderful to know there are still good doctors like him here in Nevada!! Thank you Dr. Ferrero for restoring my faith in finding a great G.I Specialist!!
Office staff disorganized. I was directed to enter two rooms that already had patients. Meanwhile Dr. Herrero was sitting in hallway unaware he had patients. Dr. Herrero ordered a scan and told me to re-schedule in 2 weeks. I am unable to get an appt. and unable to get my tests results. I asked to see next available Dr. and the scheduling department said "no" you are Dr. Herrero's patient. I am currently trying to get test results and find a new GI specialist.6/15 update: This started as a one star review and moved to a four star review. Today I was contacted by the office manager in reference to this review. All OF my concerns have been resolved. I was very impressed...read full review
