I thought "Bait and Switch" was outlawed or dead......Nope.......it is alive and well in the Sales Plan being used by Silverado Homes. Had a brochure from Silverado Homes listing the home we wanted at $370,900. We negotiated a successful loan for the Full Amount with a Lender who has a lot of experience in VA Loans. Being a retired Veteran with a credit score of over 800, I figured it would be easy to seal the purchase. Nope, when I approached the Sales Office with their Price List in hand, I was advised that the base Plan 1, Model B now required that WE include the Patio in the deal at an additional cost of $10,000 + we would have to also Pay an "Elevation Fee" of $3800....read full review
