As everyone else has noted, the Dayton Chamber of Commerce is inside the credit union. You have to walk inside the bank and then look to your right for the sign for the office. I stopped in to get my Hwy 50 Loneliest Road Survivor passport stamped and staff were so helpful. They also gave me a bunch of other brochures on the state and Dayton, and a Hwy 50 themed bag, which made the whole experience fun. This is a harder stamp to find because the location is difficult, so if you can manage to stop here, I would recommend it. The enthusiasm of the staff made the stop well worth it.

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! (I bet you thought I was going to say "if I could give this place zero stars...", which is an all-too-common phrase by reviewers on Yelp. I went here yesterday, Wednesday, May 29, 2019. The Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Center is located inside Greater Nevada Credit Union on US Route 50 (Lincoln Highway) in Dayton. It is a small one room office, but don't let size deceive you! The employee who works there, and who was just hired a few months ago, Helene, is amazing! She first apologized for not noticing me by the door (I really wasn't waiting, but taking a pic of the hours for Yelp). She then was so hospitable and welcoming, like her office didn't have visitors too often. The first thing she did was give me an orange cloth (maybe it was a scarf or handkerchief??). I am not sure what it was, and neither was she, but it was such a nice gesture. I told her I was just visiting, and she told me to have a look around. Besides her desk, there is one area on the side with business cards of the members of the chamber. On the side by the door, there are brochures, pamphlets, and freebies for visitors to the area. Lots of freebies! Besides the orange cloth above, I got an ice scraper, Nevada Highway 50 patch, sticker, letter opener, some pens, a USB fan, and a refrigerator magnet. There were also other things, like a mini football, mini baseball, chapstick, bag clips, and a different letter opener. There were also two passports they were giving out: the Nevada Highway 50 - The Loneliest Road in America Survival Guide (and passport), and the Nevada State Park passport. I had my Highway 50 passport stamped. Now I have two stamps for here and Carson City. I just have to six more to go: Fernley Fallon Austin Eureka Ely Baker/Great Basin National Park Oh, and in the corner was a bookshelf with items for sale, mainly books, like autographed copies of _True Stories of Nevada's Hauntings and Unexplained Mysteries_ by Arlene L. Jenkins. The Highway 50 patches were free on her desk, but in the corner, with the other merchandise for sale, the sign said $5. I told her this and she said she was giving it to me for free since she didn't know that! She also said she was going to lower the price to $1 each so they would sell. I also signed their guest book. Helene said I was the first one while she has worked there who she has witnessed signing it. Helene was so wonderful. She invited to come again in two months when more of a brochure I wanted was in (she only her her one copy left). And she said she would remember my name! I asked her her name again--lol--because I already forgotten! She said "Helene". It is a combination if "Helen" and "Elaine", since her parents liked both. Her mother joked it reminded her of "hell", lol! I need to remember her name the next time I go. She also invited me to the 18th Annual Oodles of Noodles Festival & Pasta Cook-Off which they are having Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 9 AM to 4 PM in Old Town Dayton. I want to go to this. See the Yelp event I made for this here: Helen also informed the credit union in which they are housed was giving some more space for storage, so they were re-designing the office a little. I left, but sat in my car Yelping and reading the event poster for the event above. As I was doing so, Helene walked by with her boss to go to her car to help carry stuff. She said "hi Stephanie", remembering my name! She was true to her word! A few minutes later I went back in to ask her details about the event, like costs and where it was (I had no idea where Old Town Dayton was), and where to park. There three other employees of the chamber were there busy organizing the event. The other employee I spoke to pulled out a map of the vendor stalls and showed me all the details. I am completely thrilled with my experience there, despite the small office. Helene was so friendly and I learned so much about the Dayton area. I have to go again soon. I will remember
