We were only in town for 24 hours but Steve was able to squeeze us in and changed our axle for us so quickly and affordably. As the Son of an Albertan mechanic I really like meeting other honest and skilled mechanics who enjoy what they do like the team at Downtown Service Center does! We're already back on the road!
After receiving a quote of over $1,000 from Canadian Tire for work on my Subaru, several people recommended Downtown Service, citing their honesty and reasonable pricing. I called ahead to explain the situation and brought my vehicle in for a second opinion. Many of the items Canadian Tire said were required turned out to be unnecessary, and both parts and labour were significantly less expensive.
They even fixed a side mirror that Canadian Tire claimed needed replacement—within seconds and at no charge. The work was completed within the scheduled time and the car was ready exactly when they said it would be.

My partner brought there vehicle here and they did everything for an extremely good price. We were thinking it would have costed us way more. They are honest and reasonable with the work they do. So I brought my vehicle in to get my brakes done. I thought I needed all of them. They did the front two for a very good price and left the rears because they had some meat left on them. I appreciated that because it reduced the work for them, saved the pads that still had a bit to go, and over all was an extremely reasonable price within $80 - $160 parts and labour all in...
