Took my senior sister to the mall yesterday to have her nails done. She comes home for the summer from the USA and she usually goes to Darling when here but yesterday decided to try Faces. She has her nails done for mani and pedi for $60.00 plus tax. Yesterday she just had her mani and pedi with regular clear polish on her fingers and no polish on her toes. She was charged $160.00. They tried and tried to get her to pay cash , kept asking do you have cash. She said only for the tip, I’m using my card to pay for the service. They talked in their own language throughout the visit . She felt she was very over charged and will not return.
This was by far the worst experience I have ever encountered in a nail salon. And I have been to many over the years. The lady doing my nails spent the whole hour chastising and barking at the other manicurists and pedicurists in her native language, clearly she was the boss! She barely looked at me or spoke the entire time. She would be filing my nails and not paying attention to what she was doing, just watching her ‘minions’. My nails are poorly shaped and as they were acrylic tips, not filled to the cuticle so they already look like they’ve grown out, after just a day. I will never go back and would never recommend.
