We wanted to thank you again for a wonderful evening (Tuesday, 7th January). Since returning to Halifax in 2022 we have made Chop our anniversary dinner spot (and often as well through the year) and could not be happier, once again, for a wonderful evening. Thulan was such a pleasure to have as our waitress and we were touched by her kindness, as we were with all your staff who dropped by to wish us a happy anniversary (we nearly teared up at the very thoughtful card). It goes without saying that the food was delicious as always. We had the 32 oz Rib steak and it was cooked to absolute perfection. Many thanks to the bartender (we regret we forget his name) but he was so very nice and the glasses of champagne were a very appreciated, thoughtful and unexpected gift. To the kitchen staff, all the food was exquisite, and writing Happy Anniversary on our shared dessert plate was a sweet extra moving touch. To whomever receives this, we would deeply appreciate if you could make sure it is passed to all your staff - this was a special night for us but every night we have been with you we have felt special. Well done!!
I just grilled a couple of Brant Lake Wagyu Rib Eye Steaks. Having spent over 20 years in the food industry and have tried other premium steaks over the years. These Brant Lake Canadian Wagyu Rib Eye steaks are by far the best tasting and most tender steaks I have ever eaten-- Bar None.
The striploin wagyu was the best steak I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve eaten steaks from many places including a few high end steak houses. Truly unforgettable.
