Absolutely fantastic shelter. They really care about their dogs and strive hard to find the best matches. They are totally honest about the dog (s) personalities, needs, age, weight, etc. They answer all your questions truthfully to the best of their knowledge. I wish I lived closer to them; I'd volunteer in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful experience at the Mountainair Animal Control Shelter! We adopted a sweet little dog. She had worms at the time and they made sure to get me what I needed to treat her! The shelter was clean and the dogs seemed happy!

Steve and the volunteer staff were wonderful! The dog we were interested in wasn't compatible with our 12 year old Lab, but the kindness and caring of Steve and the volunteers was very evident.
