This was my partner’s & I first time visiting this vet with our new golden retriever pup for his first parvo shots. They were kind enough to schedule us sooner since most vets in town are booked up until February! The wait was short and the staff were very friendly to us & our boy. The young girl in the blue scrubs with glasses (I didn’t get her name unfortunately) was our vet technician & she was beyond phenomenal with us and handling our pup. We initially made the decision to not neuter our pup but she made us aware of the possibilities of testicular cancer & we immediately changed our minds to go ahead to neuter when he’s ready. We were traveling and our dog had surgery in another state. She was not responding as hoped to the original prescribed antibiotic. The surgeon was trying to call in a different antibiotic but we were having a difficult time finding anyone to fill it. The folks here were extremely kind and helped us out. I can’t thank them enough for filling this prescription and helping us get back on the road home! Our girl is feeling better already!
We have not been disappointed with Calista. They are friendly, kind and thorough. I trust my fur babies with them. They go out of their way to contact you to see how your babies are doing after surgery and before to tell you how everything is. I don't know that I could ever go anywhere else. What would make them even MORE amazing, would be if they cared for/treated exotic animals, reptiles & chickens!!! These animals are always hard to find anyone in our area to look at them. I have all named pets, but know if anything happens after hours there is no where in Las Cruces to take your pets if you have an emergency situation.
