About Bishop Optical

Bishop Optical is a convenient local option for glasses. The work is fast, with repairs and new frames often handled quickly, sometimes even the same day. The prices are fair and depend on what you like. There is a good selection of frames that are not out of date. While one reviewer felt the service gave rude vibes, most describe the workers as super friendly and not rude. They are known for being helpful, such as fitting old lenses into new frames in a pinch or performing small repairs, sometimes at no charge. This practical and friendly service made a positive impression on a traveler, becoming a highlight of their trip. Many customers always get their glasses here and have never had problems or issues, stating it is the only place they like for their eyewear needs.

Got my glasses new prescription in a day and it was $75 to replace the lense! That's not a bad price. I went to another place and they wanted almost $200 just to change the prescription. I choose Bishop Optical always a low price for out of pocket payments!! Thank you so much guys! And the employees are very kind!

I broke my glasses last night. I went to the store to see if they could be fixed. Unfortunately they were not able to be fixed, but they were able to find me some new frames and were able to fit my old lenses into some new frames. Very grateful that they were able to take care of me. Thank you!!

Definitely a little "less than refined" to the eye of someone from the big city, but super friendly, and did a small repair for me on my glasses, which was very much appreciated. Not too many choices in a town this small, and reading the reviews of all the choices, I was a little bit worried. They pointed me to the Blake's Lotaburger at the corner while I waited, which was a real treat with the local chiles to make it "New Mexico style" - and the real kicker... when I came back to pick up my glasses they said - "No charge" I hope I don't have to come back again in this situation - but so thankful they were there. Definitely one of the highlights of my Route 66 trip (p.s. - get the burger)
