What a terrific space!!! We were there for the Dinner Party Exhibit!! What a fantastic work!! I now need to see it in person!! Head across the street after for a wine tasting at Jaramillo WineryTasting Room and don’t miss the Harvey House Museum!! All just delightful!!
The gallery is small but super contemporary. It features the work and life of Judy Chicago. They welcomed us warmly and explained a bit about the concept and background of the gallery and then they let us roam alone. It is the first time that I visited this gallery. I stopped by with the intention of going to see the exhibition at the Womanhouse and I could not be sure (I did not ask either) if they rotate or change the gallery's exhibition. Next time you visit Belén, make a quick stop here! It shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes to walk around the gallery if you stop to read the texts and look what to shop.
What a wonderful gem for Belen! Such a delightful space to enjoy the works of Judy Chicago and Donald Woodman. A must-stop for any fan of art and photography. The staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable, as well.
