As I think about all of the projects I have done with Anthony over the years, I would say respect is an overarching theme. I truly believe Anthony’s secret to success is his respectful demeanor. It is contagious and influences the experience and outcome on every project. It is why his subcontractors keep coming back to him. It is why I keep coming back to him. It is why I recommend Anthony James for any project, without reservation whatsoever. I began working with Anthony a decade ago. At a prior home, he and his team turned my 90 year old basement into a luxurious lower level. The walls were cement block and wire under stucco. We opened, drilled and repositioned everything — without getting dust all over our living spaces upstairs. They asked all the right questions of me, and when I was too busy to be involved I knew I could pass the detail decisions off to them. It worked like a charm. From that experience, we hired him to do a bathroom remodel. It was flawless and spotless once again. One of the main reasons I bought my current home is because the prior owner used Anthony James to do a complete gut renovation, and the work was overseen by his amazing foreman Tommy Kraus and exacting carpenter, Carlos Vallejo. I knew immediately the renovations were done with excruciating attention to detail and I would be free from inherited problems. I was right! Before moving into our current house, we wanted to do some additional renovations/additions. It was an easy decision to recruit Anthony and team once again. I knew they could bring creative solutions to some tricky situations and all the right people to the project. They worked to an ongoing schedule and when I needed to move into my home sooner than expected, they made sure I was bringing my family into a safe home with remodeling nearly complete. I was really stunned by how much they cared and respected our needs. They did not want us moving into a hotel for a month, a week or even a few days. It is such a pleasure to write about my favorite builder, Anthony James.
