“I visited for the first time on Friday, September 12. The day before, I spoke with a young woman who booked me an 11:00 a.m. appointment with Stew H. Once we figured out exactly what I wanted--a high and tight--he got to work. I told him I wanted to look like Sgt. Carter from Gomer Pyle, U.S.M.C., but he was a bit too young to catch the reference. I described it to him, and--bingo! He asked, "A high and tight?" That was it. Stew took his time, nailed the cut, and I honestly look better now than I have since the show was on the air.
