Based on the reviews, Starlight Hair Studio is a business run by Jocelyn, who is a great hairstylist. Jocelyn is incredible, kind, and nonjudgmental. The studio is cozy, cute, and super cute, creating a very calming and comfortable place to be. Jocelyn is great at listening to clients and giving them exactly what they wanted. The reviews mention that Jocelyn specializes in vivids and alt cuts, does amazing colors, and also gives great haircuts. Jocelyn works efficiently and skillfully, and the result is often better than imagined. The studio is a safe space where clients feel comfortable and can just be their true self. Jocelyn rents their own space, which allows them to be truly present with their clients. The experience is just the two of them in a very cheery, happy room. There is no option to tip, so the cost seen online is exactly what will be paid. Jocelyn is also great with little kids, sensitive to their needs, and works with their fidgets. After being priced out of the salon I previously went to, I was left scrambling to find a stylist who specializes in vivids and alt cuts. I stumbled upon Jocelyn’s page on Instagram unexpectedly one day, and decided to schedule a consultation with them.
I immediately felt comfortable in Jocelyn’s presence as they explained their process and gave me a quote, which was very reasonable. I booked an appointment then and there.

Jocelyn is incredible. I started seeing her when she was at a different studio, and when she left to start Starlight, I moved with her. Even though I no longer live in New Jersey, I travel to get haircuts with her because I trust her so much and she has done a great job with my hair.
While Jocelyn does amazing colors, I see her to get a traditional haircut. My hair is naturally curly and she cuts it so that it looks good (and not boxy) when I wear it curly, and also so it looks good when I wear it straight.

Jocelyn is the sweetest being ever! I came across her Instagram and was able to do an online appointment with no problem. I was very thorough about my haircut and she made my hair feels so healthy and light again. She's very well informative and gave me suggestions on the type of product i should use for my hair. She very fun to talk to and she has such a cute studio! Definitely will be coming back!
