My daughter/ son-in-law recently completed an oil furnace to geothermal heating/ cooling system with the Water Furnace 7 system. Geothermal systems are not for everyone, but if you have the land they are exceptionally efficient and the new variable speed fan and pump are quiet as well. The system recently maintained 68F indoors on an exceptionally cold (-6F) morning, so Ryan sized the system properly for the house and the cold weather didn't impact the unit efficiency. The first photo shows heating energy consumption using only the supplemental electric heater (Sun-Tue), the heat pump activation (Wed), and the first two days on 100% geothermal (Thursday, Friday).
